FEATURE REQUESTS AND SUGGESTIONS / PreConfigure Language & disable QuickStart-Wizzard by MSI-Option or HKLM-RegKey

I'd like to preconfigure following two things during Machine-Setup.

1) Disable the Dialog for Asking the Language if you first start SplitCam as a user.
The Setting is stored in AppData\Local\SplitCam\options.xml ... if this xml does not exist the User gets asked to select the language

I suggest to support following Registry-Key and disable the Dialog if it exists:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SplitCam => Reg_SZ Value "language" => "English"

So an Admin can preconfigure this for the User.

2) On first Start the "QuickStartWizzard" gets started
This is determined by checking if HKCU\SOFTWARE\SplitCam\appver Registry Key does not exist.

May you please support a Registry-Key like this to disable this:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SplitCam => Reg_DWORD Value "DisableQuickStartWizzard" => 0x00000001

So an Admin can preconfigure to disable the QuickStartWizzard on first run for the Users.

Sorry for the long pause in my reply.
Of course — let me give you an example from my own experience; that’ll make it easier to understand what the user is asking for. =)

For instance, I want to stream a feed from my PC to my TV box. There are plenty of apps on it that can receive streaming broadcasts via unicast and multicast.

For example, I can’t send a stream from SplitCam over my local network to
udp://224.0.0.1:9999?pkt_size=1316
and then receive that stream on the TV box as
udp://@:9999.

Also, there are no settings to choose the audio/video codecs or output formats for this kind of stream.

Unfortunately, there’s been a trend lately where software developers seem to forget that local network streaming exists, not just online streaming.

For example, I need to use interactive demo materials for my students at school — and we all know how “well” public schools are funded. So, we make do with what we have. SplitCam actually has great tools, but because it lacks (or maybe I just don’t know how to use) the option to broadcast over the local network (unicast and multicast.), I have to first capture the SplitCam virtual camera in OBS, and then stream it from OBS to the local network… which ends up being a bit of an overcomplicated workaround. =)

Thankyou so much , the " Splitcam Driver " now comes up under choices of Video input when using WhatsApp Desktop on my PC , fantastic , I did just try the new 10.8.60 , no luck the Splitcam driver does not appear in the drop down list for video input , so I thought I'd give your suggestion of the older version a go , and Bingo :)

Will this be fixed in a newer version or am I best to stay with this older version if I want WhatsApp support ?

The only issue I seem to have is it AUTO DOWNLOADS an update for me to v10.8.5 and has a NAG screen to update it , which I don't need or want to use into MY DOWNLOADS folder , is there any easy way to turn off AUTO UPDATE , maybe by modifying a cfg file , as there is no tick box in UI ?

I have tried adding " offline = 1 " to the " local.cfg " file in " %localappdata%\SplitCam " as suggested on the forum  , as I only use Splitcam on my LOCAL network , no streaming as such , but it still checks for updates ?

SPLITCAM TECH SUPPORT / powered sub hub for multiple webcams

Hello. Hoping someone can help me. I use my SplitCam app on my PC for home "security cams". I know I need a "powered SUB hub" [Bus SUB hub handling only 2 of my 3 cams]. Confused on what type I need - how much wattage, what it's called, etc. The more I read about them the more confused I get. I don't want to get one that's just used for charging - I already have one of those.
