How SplitCam collects and uses information on this website and inside the SplitCam software, plus the third-party services involved.
This privacy statement describes how we collect and use the personal information you provide on our website and with SplitCam software. It also describes third-party solutions we use on our website and with SplitCam software that can collect and use the personal information.
We gather information like IP addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp and click-stream data by using Google Analytics — to use our site and software you need to accept the Google Privacy Policy. We do not collect Personally Identifiable Information (“PII”) about our visitors. No further information regarding our visitors, other than the browser-level information for statistics and analytics purposes.
The SplitCam mobile app lets you connect your accounts on streaming platforms (Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Kick) so it can start live broadcasts and show your live chat. When you connect an account, the platform shows you exactly which permissions SplitCam asks for, and you can decline any of them.
If you sign in with Facebook, SplitCam receives your name, profile picture and an app-specific user ID; the list of Facebook Pages you chose to share with SplitCam and an access token for each of them; and an access token for your account. With your permission SplitCam uses them only to:
SplitCam does not read your posts, photos, friends or messages, does not post anything on your behalf except the live video and the replies you type yourself, and does not use Facebook data for advertising.
Account names, pictures and access tokens are stored only in the app's private storage on your device. They are not sent to SplitCam servers and are not included in device backups. Your video normally goes directly from your phone to each platform. Only if you choose the Restream mode and stream to several platforms at once, the video and the stream key of each destination go through the SplitCam relay server, which forwards the video to the platforms. The sign-in page splitcam.com/auth only hands the one-time sign-in code back to the app; the code is not stored by SplitCam and cannot be reused.
Until you remove the channel in the app, sign out, or uninstall the app. Access tokens also expire, and you can revoke them at any time on the platform side.
The app uses Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports) and Firebase Analytics (anonymous usage statistics) by Google. The Facebook SDK is used only for sign-in; its automatic event logging and advertising ID collection are turned off.
See Data deletion — how to remove your data from the app and revoke SplitCam's access on each platform.
