Can't connect to valid rtsp stream of my Hikvision IP cam

Hi,

I'm having problems getting Splitcam v10.3.66 to work on Windows 10.
I'm trying to connect to a rtsp stream of a Hikvision IP camera, this stream should work because I can open it in VLC.  In an old version of SplitCam (7.1.3.1, tried on the same computer), this stream is also working fine.

However, when I try add adding this stream via "Add IP Camera", using rtsp://username:password@ip-address:port/Streaming/Channels/101, SplitCam seems to keeps probing (at least, I think so, I see blue moving dots) but doesn't connect.
When I click 'Go live', I receive a notification: "No active streams found. Nothing to do."

The logfile shows no errors, just the following:
Creating dialog "Add IP Camera" at (622, 459) of size 640x220
vcapture::CMMFLayer::init: start initializing layer
vcapture::CMMFLayer::init: done initializing

Details:
-SplitCam v10.3.66 x64 beta
-Windows 10 Home version 1909 OS build 18363.836
-Camera: Hikvision DS-2CD2142FWD-I

Any help would be highly appreciated!!

Regards, Jeroen

I am having the same problem with IP (RTSP) cameras.

I am running 10.4.6 beta.

I have tried connecting to several RTSP cameras: Unifi, Axis, Foscam, and they all don't seem to work. I get the throbbing blue dots but I don't ever see the video.

I wondered whether it was an authentication problem, so I removed the required username/password, but that did not help.

If there is any way I can help to debug the problem further please let me know.

I tried the latest version 10.4.8 x64 Beta today. Unfortunately, no change.

When I try add adding the camera stream via "Add IP Camera", using rtsp://username:password@ip-address:port/Streaming/Channels/101, SplitCam keeps probing (blue moving dots) but doesn't connect.
When I click 'Go live', I receive a notification: "No active streams found. Nothing to do."

The logfile shows no errors, just the following:
17:40:03 Creating dialog "Add IP Camera" at (640, 470) of size 640x220

Do you have any idea what the problem is? VLC Media Player can open the stream without any problems.
