Yes splitcam work till you finish it. Another way you can go to splitcam and pause camera or click on eye near camera to disable it.

Try to download new version of splitcam.
And also you need to be admin of pc to change driver name.

If you video play in splitcam and you close splitcam , ofcourse video stop.

For example you can't play video in media player if your media player closed or your windows shut down.
