Also you can use main menu however the buttons at the bottom of SplitCam window are more usable. Here you can find \u201cEffects\u201d, \u201cSources\u201d, \u201cSnapshot\u201d, \u201cOptions\u201d, \u201cAudio\u201d, \u201cPiP mode\u201d (picture-in-picture), \u201cYouTube\u201d and \u201cLike\u201d (our Facebook link) buttons. Let\u2019s take a look on them.<\/p>\n<p>Options. Here you have \u201cMinimize to tray\u201d box to hide SplitCam window to system tray when it\u2019s inactive. Active \u201cStart with Windows\u201d box starts SplitCam automatically when Windows starts up. \u201cCheck for update\u201d have 2 modes \u2013 auto when program checks for new updates when it needs, and now \u2013 to check for updates manually right now. \u201cResolution\u201d is to change streaming video resolutions, \u201cColor scheme\u201d, \u201cContrast\u201d and \u201cBrightness\u201d are to change color balance.<\/p>\n<p>Snapshot. This tab is for taking snapshots from your webcam. There is \u201cTake snapshot\u201d button to do a snapshot right now. \u201cSnapshot with 5 seconds delay\u201d &#8211; to make a snapshot with the delay in 5 seconds &#8211; maybe you need time to prepare. \u201cNon-stop\u201d \u2013 will take snapshots until you\u2019ll stop it. You may choose any interval in seconds before next snapshot. \u201cSave snapshot to disc\u201d saves selected snapshots to your hard disc or other storage hardware. <\/p>\n<p>Sources. This menu allows choosing source of your video. There are 4 variants. \u201cWebcam\u201d tab suggests you to choose your webcam model to broadcast or record video. \u201cVideo\u201d allows using as a source any video file \u2013 movie, clip etc. With \u201cImage\u201d tab you can send any picture instead webcam. \u201cDesktop\u201d &#8211; there are 3 \u201cDesktop\u201d modes. First is \u201cFull screen\u201d to show whole your desktop. Next is \u201cPartial\u201d or \u201cFollowing by mouse\u201d, that means SplitCam shows only part of desktop that is targeted by your mouse. And the last one is \u201cSelected screen\u201d that means you will show only part of desktop that is selected by special frame. We will use full screen mode for broadcasting whole desktop.<\/p>\n<p>Effects. Here you can find different cool webcam effects.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>There are \u201cFilters\u201d \u2013 filter effects such as black&amp;white, blue, red, green gradient, old movie, negative and many others. Make double click on desired effect to apply it. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cBackground\u201d changes your background, for example to a beach or night city or other. Double click on background, then new small window will appear. Click \u201cTake Snapshot\u201d and go out of webcam range of vision. Wait 3 seconds, apply snapshot and your background view is ready. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cFace items\u201d. Use different funny face items to make your communication brighter. Here you have masks, eyes, eyebrows, noses, ears, hats, wigs, 3D masks. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cFrames\u201d are to make borders of your image more interesting. Try it. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cAvatars\u201d. Just select avatar of any popular person and substitute your face. Now you are the president of USA or cartoon hero. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cObjects\u201d. Static and dynamic objects of sport, holidays, fun, flags. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cText\u201d, \u201cDate and Time\u201d. You may also input text over video image. For this restore SplitCam window and go to \u201cEffects\u201d. Choose \u201cText\u201d tab. Now input any text. It will appear over your video. At the same window you may change font size, style, color, and position. To write date and time over the video, go to \u201cDate and time\u201d tab in SplitCam effects menu. Change date and time format, size, style, and then check \u201cShow Clock\u201d box. Now its on your screen. You may also change its position. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cCustom\u201d. You can create your own webcam effect. Choose \u201cCustom\u201d frame, then upload any picture from computer. Give name to your object, choose category in which it will be saved. Choose frame count to make your picture larger or smaller, and delay to apply speed of movement on the screen. Then click \u201cCreate and Save Object\u201d to save effect in selected group. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cAudio\u201d. Here you can find audio settings and audio effects. To apply audio effects to your voice through microphone, go to \u201cAudio\u201d tab and in \u201cAudio Input Devise\u201d list select your microphone. Near it new box \u201cHear yourself\u201d will appear \u2013 check it to test audio effects. In next field you see a list with audio effects, choose one you like. To adjust every sound effect more clearly, press next button \u201cOptions\u201d. New window will appear. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To apply audio effects to sound from any video file, go to \u201cSources\u201d in SplitCam and choose any video file from your computer as a source. Now in \u201cAudio\u201d tab check \u201caudio channel\u201d box. In front you see the same list of effects as in previous example. Of course you can adjust sound settings with \u201coptions\u201d button. Press \u201cplay\u201d button under main screen and experiment with sound.<\/p>\n<p>To apply audio effects to audio file, you should in \u201cAudio\u201d tab check \u201cAudio File\u201d box, then press \u201cAdd\u201d button, and add to list any song or other audio file from your computer. You have a list of the same audio effects as in two previous examples. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cPIP mode\u201d (picture-in-picture). Check pip box under main SplitCam video area and go to \u201cSources\u201d menu again. On the \u201cWebcam\u201d tab select your webcam. Now in main window we have 2 pictures \u2013 one big with your desktop and small with your image \u2013 PiP mode. Small window can be changed in size and position. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cLike\u201d button. When you click this button you will be sent to our Facebook webpage. There you can write your comments, suggestions, and see fresh news about SplitCam. <\/li>\n<li>\u201cYouTube\u201d button. Here you can share your video on YouTube in few clicks. Just fill necessary fields and go! Type in your username, select needed video file, and title it as you want. If you wish give it description. Write down keywords to make it easier for search, select category and click \u201cUpload\u201d. You\u2019re YouTube star! <\/li>\n<li>\u201cRec\u201d button under main SplitCam video area is for recording your webcam. Depending on source you selected, you may record from video file, your actions on desktop or just your image from webcam. When you click \u201crec\u201d, SplitCam will ask you file location to save. Make sure that hard disc have enough free space to record and save video. Give name to your video file and click \u201cSave\u201d, recording started! To stop record click \u201cRec\u201d button again. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>From main menu at the top of SplitCam window you also can do all the described actions. Besides from main menu \u201cOptions\u201d you can change language of SplitCam interface. In \u201cHelp\u201d menu you can see hotkeys combinations for SplitCam.
